Spring time in Niseko welcomes sunshine, longer days, slushy conditions and a focus on fun. With some great events that bring the community together to embrace warmer days, progression and fun times!

Moiwa Banked Slalom

 The first on the calendar and bringing March to a close is the Moiwa Banked Slalom. This took place on Friday 27th, attracted over 200 competitors and among many other community minded companies was supported by Holiday Niseko. 

This fun all inclusive event is a timed race down a man made banked slalom course with high speed, slushy conditions and lots of soulful carves. And the winners were -

Masters - 杉本 皇治,  Kids - Kume Youhei, Snow skate - 勇気, Ski Men - 田中 心之助,  Ski Women - ハナワ 歩,  Snowboard Women - 鳥本 雪乃,  Snowboard Men - 植村 志唯

Swatch Nines 

April 6 - 11th brings the Swatch Nines to Niseko, a media and progression focused event that in its own words  is "a friendly antagonist to the world of competitive sports. With unique formats and venues that draw top athletes, filmmakers and photographers, the Nines celebrates human talent and creativity while channelling the original untamed spirit of action sports." Think giant uniquely crafted jumps and some of the worlds best pushing the boundaries of possibility!

If you are in the area and want to see some of the worlds best skiers and snowboarders performing on extra large jumps and rail features Niseko Hirafu is the place and public open day is April 11th. 

MAD DOG JAM 2026

One of the final events of Japan's season the Mad Dog Jam is one not to be missed! Running for over a decade it brings spring vibes, DJs, jumps, carves, slashes and sunshine. Returning once again to Moiwa Ski Resort expect sculpted features for your shredding pleasure and food trucks for your culinary cravings. April 18th - 19th.
