
Airport transfers
Niseko-Hirafu is located 110km from New Chitose Airport (CTS) which serves both Sapporo city and the Niseko ski resort area. Travel time to the resort varies depending on weather and road conditions.
- From Nov-Feb allow 2.5 - 3 hours
- From Mar-Oct allow 2 - 2.5 hours.
Door to door shared transfers

On arrival in Niseko you may be transfered to a van to take you to your accommodation
Coach transfers
Although buses depart regularly from Chitose for Niseko it is advisable to reserve in advance.
Travel time may take up to 30mins longer than taking the door to door shared service due to a refreshment stop half-way.
Cost is approximately 4,600yen return per-person if booked directly with bus company.

Private transfer
For groups of 5-14 people private door to door transfers are very convenient and reasonable.

Rental vehicle
Toyota rental vehicles are available from New Chitose Airport or Sapporo city. All vehicles are late model, 4WD, equipped with snow tires and most now have English navigation systems. Parking in the ski resort is free but please check with us if parking is available at your apmt/lodge. For vehicle types please check the below link.
Train
Taking the train from New Chitose Airport to Hirafu-Niseko requires a transfer at either Sapporo or Otaru city. If you are staying in Sapporo city we recommend the train as it’s the fastest and least expensive way to get to Sapporo City from New Chitose Airport

- Airport to Niseko not recommended as requires transfer
- Pre-booking not necessary though not guaranteed a seat
